Newcastle based label Box Records was set up in 2009 by two life-long friends. It was
initially funded with personal savings and began as we battled the dreary monotony of
lengthy days of unemployment. Box Records specialises in real canny music, we release
limited runs of vinyl, CDs, and tapes.
We’re passionate about releasing music we think should be heard. We're not concerned
with trends, just music that has enriched our lives, and will hopefully yours. We do
this because we get a kick out of wrapping things in cardboard and visiting the post
office.
So far we have released music by Gnod, Bong, Richard Dawson and Khünnt. We have a few
very exciting things in the pipeline too.
